Thanks to the generosity of our recently visiting Toronto friend, I managed to pick up a small tree and some decorations for the kids for St Nick's day.
Last night, after the children had gone to bed, I hauled said tree out from the closet and set everything up in the little hall by the elevator, outside our apartment door. Then I filled their shoes with the loot Tats and I had picked up at a nearby candy shop.
Our generous friend had also brought a number of German chocolate treats -- mostly for the adults -- along with him from our favourite German store back home. These I stuffed into Tats' shoes, then went to bed myself.
By the time I got up the next morning, the boys had already discovered and devoured most of their loot, and had replaced the contents of Tatsy's shoes with some rotton bananas!!!! They soon replaced the originals, though, and now we are waiting for her to wake up and discover that the Argentinean St Nick comes for adults, too.
