Blessed with an extra planning time thanks to our Friday afternoon Art lesson and subsequent movie/pizza for the kids at a local friend's place, I finally had a chance to catch up with some planning beyond the basics.
I've been meaning to work some sort of singing into the routine with the kids -- Alex in particular seems to really enjoy singing, and although I've taught them a few songs on the side, as we are out and about, there has been no formal plan for this. I'd love to share with them favourites of mine and classics from the 60s and 70s if possible... a-capella style! But how to do it in a relatively manageable fashion?
This afternoon I searched "karaoke lyrics for..." on Youtube. (I know, I know... cheesy! But EASY! And hopefully fun!)

First with lyrics, music, images and a little history -- we'll watch and discuss, then sing along. Then, later, just the lyrics, Karaoke style, with instrumental accompaniment.
Finally, we'll watch the Nylons version, below, and chat about the videography and a-capella music.

With any luck, the boys will enjoy the music and lock it in -- and if it works, we'll try others, later! :-)
