A few months ago when I was coming to Buenos Aires. I was on plane that had major troubles and I wrote a blog post about it earlier this year. Click the link.
We wrote letters about some complaints we had, what they could change, and what we want in return. I said I wanted first class seats on the way back to Toronto since we had already booked a flight in May. Of course Delta is not the first choice of airline to fly anymore.
About a month later we got letters back from Delta saying that we could have vouchers for their airline because of our troubles. I don't want to have a voucher though because we are not going to travel within a year but that's when the voucher expires, and like I said Delta is not the first choice of airline to fly anymore.
So our mom sent another letter saying that we are not traveling within a year. This time Simon and I did not write letters. All of us were happy to hear in a few days instead of a month that we could have several thousand Skymiles to go shopping on their website. Although about 10 Skymiles is equal to 1 dollar so it was not a lot.
Simon and I were happy to be getting new backpacks and some chocolate but I don't think Delta learned their lesson. They were just trying to shoo us away. Though I stand strong with hope that someday they might figure these things out.
