There is a big and scary creature called Spike and its the only one of its species in the world. This creature lives in a country named scspicth in the city of htcipscs on a beach in a cave near the water. The place is still on earth but is not possible to get to. This creature is blue with red spikes and spots. If you ever saw it curled up sleeping on the beach you might think its a beach ball. It almost looks like a stegosaurus but is not because of the colours, because of the body shape. The Spike always has a golden pitch fork in his mouth that looks like the one Aquaman holds. The gold that the pitch fork is made of is not valuable. The creature eats sand.

We're On Our Way This past week I went to Patagonia. We did lots of things and saw lots of creatures. On Thursday we went to see penguins and that's what we came to see but there is a tonne more exciting adventures we had. Wednesday On Wednesday we arrived. Apparently we were staying at the most southern lavender farm in the world! My brother Simon and I started to explore the fields of lavender. We saw lots of little furry creatures. The people we stayed with were very nice and so were their pets. They had 3 dogs and 2 cats. The dogs names were Tom, Sasha, and Tao. I don't know the cats' names. Thursday On Thursday as I mentioned before we went to see the penguins. The whole of Patagonia was a dry desert but these Magellanic penguins were made for the weather as they don't have thick feathers. Those were smart penguins, they made their houses under bushes and shrubs. Their desert habitat is close to the ocean. It is a great life but when it gets really cold they migrate to Brazil. Friday On Friday we had a surprise adventure with seals. It was an hour and a half of a drive to get there. When we got there we had to climb down a rope and scramble down a gigantic cliff to get to the beach below where the elephant seals were. All the seals were either white, grey, or brown. There were lots of female seals leaving only 2 males but those males were giant. They did not mind us being there at all. Sea lions We kept walking for a bit and soon we came to some sea lions! They look like real lions because they had hair on there heads. Unlike the elephant seals they were very aggressive. Soon it was time to go. We climbed back up the cliff and jumped into the car and I was tired. I fell asleep in the car. Feelings On Saturday we went to the beach but then it was time to go. I was not excited about going on a 20 hour bus ride home to Buenos Aires. I needed 1 more day in Patagonia at the least. Now that I am back in Buenos Aires I did feel the need to write this. I am writing an app review about an app called book worm. The app is a bit like a never ending word search. On the title screen you can click three buttons, Classic, Arcade, and How to play. I will talk about these three options in the next two paragraphs. How to play First I will start off with the last button (How to play). When you click this button instruction will appear on how to play the game. I will tell my own brief instructions on later paragraphs. Classic Next up is the first button, classic. This is the actual game unlike arcade classic is not rushed. There are some letters that are red and if you don't spell a word with them quickly they blow up the word search and its game over. In classic they just apear but in arcade other letters turn in to red blocks. I guess I won't put in an arcade paragraph because I covered it in this paragraph. Backround details 1. How you play is that you have to spell words in a word search 2. My class told me about the game and I liked it I think this is a great game because the app teaches you word work, there are no adds, and it has simple instruction and controls. Today in science we read about producers and consumers. In the following paragraphs I will share what producers and consumers are.
Producers Producers are plants. They make their own energy. Animals that eat the plants get some of its energy. The animals that eat the plants eaters are meat eaters. They get the energy from the plant eater who got the energy from the plant. Consumers Consumers are animals. Humans are consumers. Consumers can not make there own food and they eat plants or other animals that have energy to get it. There are three types of consumers. Herbivores which eat plants. Carnivores which eat meat. Omnivores which eat both plants and meat. Humans are omnivores. Humans are at the top of the food chain and I feel safe but that means we have a lot of responsibilities. The other day we celebrated 100's day. We did lots of interesting activities. Every subject there was something exciting, even at recess. In the following paragraphs I will share what we did. There is one more awesome thing about today, It is Chinese new year. Literacy Today in literacy we had 100 minutes to do reading, writing, and word work. Most of the time we only get 60 mins and I felt more relaxed getting 100. I chose Writing and that is when I wrote the post about libraries. Simon read and wrote. We also had to do one activity that was related to 100 and literacy. I wrote how to say 100 in 10 different languages, including Chinese. Recess and Math At recess we ate 100 little raisin and chocolate chips. For math we played three online games. One where you had to guess a number between 1 and 100, another where had to find a dogs bone in a hundreds chart, and final was a game where you had to make a sculpture out of 100 snow balls. 100's day was fun. when are you going to celebrate it? What do you do on 100's day? |
